For the most part.

Art seems to be the only thing that's really keeping my spirits afloat these days. I know I've been going through a bit of transition these days and I hope that I can settle a bit of that soon. Yes the recession has been hard on all of us but it's seem to challenge all the artists out there to really feel if they love art or not.

What I mean by that is it almost feels like you need to really love art to thrive in it these days, even if it hurts. I find myself making art out of anything these days and finding ways to not really earn money out of it per say but rather trying to find a community that will accept it. And suddenly you realize that hidden from you all this time was this group of artist waiting for you all this time.

My motivation for art these days has been seeing my creations put smiles on peoples faces, just the very break they need fro the harsh world of numbers and doubts into a world of simplicity, warmth, and the purest form of an emotion. That's what does it for me, that's why I live under the alias of healing mercy.

Any last words from this post are these: I hope that you look outside of you problems and realize that the world is still full of people who need feeling and who love. People like you.

Smoothly

Well that seems to be the word of the week. Though it's had it's troubles and hustle here and there, it's be a good week thus far.

Earthworks was quite the experience. I was happy to be congregated with fellow artist. I have to say I felt comfortable, but I was a bit out of my element. Overall, as you guessed, things went quite smoothly. I hope to participate in the next Cafe Mode with some of my pieces on display.

I got my website up!
Yes, my very first ever portfolio website. Thanks to Eugene it looks absolutely wonderful. Please drop by and visit. You will notice that the gallery is still hosted at deviant art. I am making it point to fix it and have a main gallery on my site.

With not so serious news... I got my wings! I wanted these for quite sometime actually. For those of you who don't know I'm a fantasy costume enthusiast. It's a bit of an odd hobby that I enjoy. These were a little birthday present for myself. They look so good in photos and I hope that I can use them to their fullest. For anyone who's interested in these type of wings you can find them at Fancy Fairy. Thank Eugene for being a bit silly and showing off my beautiful pair.

One thing that has been bothering me is my hair. It's grown to that long moppy phase where it just needs to be cut. I hope to do that as soon as I can fund it. Hopefully a bit of styling and blow drying it should help a bit. It's amazing how long unkept hair can change my appearance. Don't I look older?

Anywho, I suppose thats whats been up as of lately. I do hope soon to post something of relevance to my art that you all will enjoy. Until then I hope that your week is running smoothly as well.

Turn of Events

Morning!

Well I suppose this will be my first real post. For the record I'm really excited. :) Alot has been happening as of late. Lets start with the general.

I moved to a beautiful house in the hills. My room is painted in a light violet gray. I suppose it would be my 'mood color', the color that changes with the lighting of the day to suit my needs. My window opens to a lemon tree that I smell ever so softly in the wind. It always sets my mood. Of course there are other rooms but I'll save that for another post.

I usually spend my mornings trudging about going through the morning grind, coffee or tea in hand. Checking on school assignments and such. Today's different. I feel a bit optimistic. I know that the nights are rough and there are plenty to come. But I 'm confident that the results will be rewarding.

Shojin's Earthworks is this Thursday. I'm getting business cards printed for the occasion. They've been so nice to Eugene and I and I'm sure that this will be a memorable event.

This song is making my morning. It reminds me of Eugene and I and how he always seems to be there even if I seem to have gone through a few days before he's come.

More updates to come. I'll be updating my deviant art gallery as well as my new website.
